But I'm TSA Precheck... S Was at the Philly Airport yesterday and security was PACKED. I'm TSA Precheck (BTW it is so worth the money just to not have to take your shoes off). So the line for us is quite long. It's wrapped around the corner, but it's moving steadily.

The entrance is being monitored by a security guard checking to see if your ticket has that TSA check. Well up the escalator comes Karen. She makes a B line for the entrance. Security guard immediately stops her and let's her know, "Miss, that is the line right there." Karen says, "Oh, I'm TSA Precheck. I don't have to stand in line." Guard says, "and this is the line for TSA Precheck." "No you don't understand. I need to get through security. My flight leaves soon and I'm TSA Precheck."

"Ma'am I already told you. This is the line for TSA PRECHECK! Everyone of these people is in line for the same thing. Go right here and get in line and you'll get through when it's your turn." Karen started mumbling something about "ridiculous" and "never been treated bok, bok, bok....." I wish I had a couple bucks to tip the security guard cause she deserved it.

marc19403 2 days ago Frequent PHL pre-check passenger. I always go through B/C regardless of what terminal I am flying from. Never waited more than 5 minutes and often just walk through. 131 Reply Share

Tame_Vigilante OP. 2 days ago That's a good piece of advice. I'll keep that in mind. I was in terminal D.

Random-User_1234. 2 days ago I flew every week for 30 years. Since TSA- Precheck started post 9- 11, there were numerous times the precheck line was longer & slower than the regular line. I simply changed lines & was through security faster. Be observant, not entitled & airports will be much easier.

zomgitsduke 2 days ago That's why I love the TSA sometimes. They have ZERO obligations to provide the "quality customer support" that these people try to hold above others' heads. They truly DGAO

pdoten 2 days ago The lines at the Philly Airport can get loooong too. I remember flying in and out of there for work a while back, they had these signs in the connecting walkway to the hotel with approximate times to get front of the line from that spot. I used to taxi out from Center City and if you saw people in lines in those walkways, it was going to be a long afternoon...

AugieWest 2 days ago I was at Philly at 5am for a 6am flight. A guy lost in the parking deck asked me how to get to the airport. "Follow me." Lines were ridiculous. He, too, had a 6am flight. I go to the precheck line (much shorter). I tell him he's got to go to the other line. As the TSA rep is confirming my precheck, the other guy says, "I'm with him." TSA: "yeah, that's not gonna work." Other guy, but I could miss my flight. TSA: yeah, that's not gonna work either."

SaltConnection1109. 2 days ago Was at Hartsfield recently. The security line was all the way to the front door with agents shouting that the line was for everyone! Then there were very confusing signs separating the Pre- checks from the regulars. You followed the pre-check signs down corridors and around corners only to be shouted at by an agent that "This line is closed! Go over there and get in that line!" Total cluster.

Chief_Belle2947. 2 days ago I was catching a flight out of LA a couple years ago. The agent near the body scanners instructed a lady to remove her jacket. He said it repeatedly as we were all coming through but she ignored him. When he said it directly to her she said, "But this is pre-check." He then replied, "It's pre-check not no check. Remove your jacket and place it in the bin." The rest of us moved around her as we were already following instructions.

Debsha 2 days ago I have a question, while she was arguing with TSA how many more people got into the pre check line, pushing her further back?
